What do judges do to help archers during competition?

Judges and tournament officials want to keep the tournament running smoothly so that every archer can shoot their best. Here are a few things that judges can do to help you:

• Check that the field is arranged correctly

• Keep the tournament on schedule

• Make difficult scoring calls for arrows that hit on or near a line

• Arrange to give you extra time if you have an equipment failure or need an urgent bathroom break

• Mediate disputes among archers

• Answer questions about rules
